CONANP Confirms Presence Of Albino Whale!

Benito Bermudez, Regional Director of the National Commission of Natural Protected Areas (CONANP), confirmed the sighting of an albino whale in the “Ojo de Liebre” Lagoon, municipality of Mulege, BCS.

“In the case of the albino whale, it  was detected in 2008 and resubmitted in 2009 as a juvenile specimen that was born in the “Ojo de Liebre” lagoon,  for more than seven years  disappeared and was not seen again. Finally it appeared in 2016 with a baby. The albino whale will be monitored every season, the  sighting experts said, to verify how often reaches the lagoon complexes in the state. On the world there is little record of albino whale, I have understood that they are 3 or 4 records that have been given only”, he said.
