Los Cabos Records Hotel Occupancy Of 100%, Expecting Over 10,000 Spring Breakers

A few days after the start of  the Easter holiday period, the tourist destination of Los Cabos has a hotel occupancy of 100% in almost 15,000 hotel rooms, announced the head of the Ministry of Tourism, Economy and Sustainability (Setues), Genaro Ruiz Hernandez.

“The tourist sector of Los Cabos, which has done an arduous job thus achieving these hotel occupations today,” he said, announcing that an arrival of more than 10,000 Spring Breakers is expected.

For his part, the state official highlighted  that just a few days before the start of the Easter holiday season, foreign vacationers began arriving at the destination, who are enjoying the beaches, restaurants and hotels there.

Meanwhile, once the season of the Spring Breakers ends, the arrival of national tourism is expected during the Easter holiday period, which could register an increase.

“Right now we have a behavior of 70-30; 70 is the foreign market and 30 the national market, numbers that in Easter is set to 50-50, “he said.

Finally, he reiterated that the demand of the national tourist destinations increases because it is a holiday around the country, “keeping pace with both Easter Week and Easter Week, as it is also a school holiday.”

Similarly, he said that it is expected to have an economic income close to 120 million pesos during these days, in the destination of Baja California.
