Saudi Arabia Shines As Guest Of Honor At Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week In Los Cabos

From April 2 to 6, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Los Cabos established itself as a highlight event in this Mexican luxury haven, choosing Saudi Arabia as the featured guest country. This event became a hub for culinary, tourist, ecological, and high-end experiences.

This year, with a strong emphasis on inclusivity and international diversity, Saudi Arabia positioned itself as the guest of honor, showcasing a rich array of styles and innovative perspectives that are shaping Saudi fashion.

The celebration of this grand event took place at Solaz, a Luxury Collection Resort, featuring renowned designers such as Abel López, Alfredo Martínez, Kris Goyri, and Sandra Weil. Additionally, Saudi Arabia, in collaboration with The Saudi Fashion Commission, introduced 6 of their 100 designers: Dazluq and Khawla Al Aiban, Kaf by Kaf, NH Designer, Nora Al Shaikh, and Waad Aloqali.

“Our presence in Mexico signifies our commitment to promoting cultural exchange and building meaningful connections with countries that share similarities with Saudi Arabia. By showcasing six brands from our Saudi 100 Brand program in Mexico, we aim to display the diversity of talents and exceptional products from our dynamic region. This event acts as a stage for discovery, inviting the global community to explore the richness of our cultural legacy and to embrace the innovative spirit of our local brands. Together, we embark on a journey of mutual appreciation and collaboration, merging cultures and celebrating limitless creativity that knows no borders,” said Burak Cakmak, CEO of the Saudi Fashion Commission, in a statement.

“For us, sustainability is a key pillar of our strategy, aimed at becoming a carbon-neutral company by the end of this decade. Since 1995, Mercedes-Benz has positioned itself as a key player in the global fashion industry. Currently, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week stands as one of the most prominent forums for offering our clients sustainable luxury experiences. We are excited about the future of the fashion industry and will continue to collaborate to promote emerging Mexican talent in this field,” commented Jaime Cohen, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Mexico & Latin America.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Los Cabos, in its luxury edition, aims to boost creative industries and highlight the tourist attractions of the places it visits, in this case, Los Cabos, offering a unique perspective of luxury and fashion to connect the local audience with the global scene.
