Cabo San Lucas, with Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, average prices are highest around the country, followed by Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Acapulco and Mexico City.
In January 2016, the average price per room per night in Cabo San Lucas was 4,805 pesos, becoming the most expensive tourist destination with tariffs at national level, matched only by Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, which has the same average.
This is reported by the Hotel Price Index of Trivago, a monthly analysis of the average hotel prices in the cities of Mexico and around the world, which recorded a higher number of searches. In these results, published online, data tourist destinations in Baja California Sur are included.
In average prices per room per night in January 2016 of 10 major cities in Mexico, Cabo San Lucas along with Playa del Carmen stands out as the most expensive destination, followed by Cancun, Quintana Roo, with an average of 3,515 pesos, Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, with 3,160 and Acapulco, Guerrero, with 2,150 pesos.
La Paz Baja Sur capital also appears with an average of 1,870 pesos per room per night, the rate decreased 1% compared to 2015, coming between destinations prices decreased or kept, even if they are in the Federal District whose average is 1,870 pesos per room per night.
