La Paz, Baja California Sur (BCS). Last January, an Environmental Impact Statement (MIA) was presented to the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (Semarnat), which will seek to install and operate a floating platform and pearl cultivation in the coastal area of Chileno Bay in Los Cabos.
It is intended to carry out the installation of a floating platform of 10 × 10 m, where there will be different tourist services. Where it is intended to carry out various tourist activities, such as snorkeling, artificial beach area where there will be a bar area and some restaurant services.
The main objective is to generate an oyster culture, where guided visits to these areas will be offered and the importance of the species and their use will be announced; In addition, the diving service will be offered by the cultivation lines for the tourist to select their shell.
Likewise, Wild Cabo will have a jewelery service, where the pearl can be encapsulated in various ways, and jewelery worked with artisans from the area will also be offered.
