Cabo Targeting 4 Million Air Passengers This Year

Month on month figures have been escalating all year and new routes have been opening up constantly. As numbers continue to rise, new hotels continue to open, a successful summer for Cabo looks almost certain.

The Los Cabos Airport director, Martin Pablo Zazueta, says the double digit growth translates to a 17% increase over last year. Which he reckons “will guarantee to break the barrier of 4 million passengers by the end of 2016.”

Air traffic is becoming ever more stable and the low season is no longer as marked. This is due to increased national and international flights. New charters from Panama and Brail are expected to start next month.

Being aware that almost 100% of visitors are from  US and Canada, the director is keen to diversity. And is working really hard to bring new visitors from South America, Europe and Japan. But he also intends to consolidate the US market by adding more flights and new routes to meet increased demand.

“It is always important to look for new alternatives  –  but we mustn’t lose sight that we have an impressive market in the US, one of the strongest economies in the world, “he said.
