Los Cabos – The Thirth Most Visited Destination in Mexico

From January to September this year, between the airports of Mexico that  received more passengers,   Los Cabos highlights on third place nationally, with 940.248 visitors, only followed by Cancun, Quintana Roo (with 4,993,703) and Mexico City (with 2,435,920 ) informs the Secretary of Tourism.

According to the National Statistical Information System of Mexico Tourism Sector of the Tourism Ministry, if air arrivals from the aforementioned destinations are added, along with destinations in Jalisco: Puerto Vallarta (857.475 passengers) and Guadalajara (570.487) represent 90% of all movements in air terminals, so in this sense positioned to Los Cabos among the 5 most important tourist destinations in Mexico.

From January to September, foreign exchange earnings to the country for international visitors amounted to 12,000,975 million, which represented a rise of 8.2% over the same period but in 2014; in the first 9 months of this year, the tourism balance had a positive accumulated balance of 5,000,620 million, an increase of 10.1% compared to the same months last year.

In addition, it is reported that in the same period, but nationally, the number of passengers by air increased 12.6%, totaling 41.6 million passengers, while the arrival of domestic passengers was 27,295,594 passengers, 3,146,722 additional passengers regarding same period last year.
