During the days 16 to 18 of April of 2018, Los Cabos will become the official headquarters of the “Destination Wedding Planners Congress” (DWP), reason why it is expected the participation of more than 150 weddings organizers of at least 60 countries.
In that sense, it was announced that the event will be supported by the Secretariat of Tourism (Sectur) of Baja California Sur, the Council of Tourism Promotion of Mexico (CPTM) and the Tourism Trust of Los Cabos (Fiturca).
In that term, it is expected to attend at least 400 participants who will meet to achieve excellence in the industry, as well as representatives of hotels, resorts, among others, in order to be positioned among the main suppliers of the business.
For its part, each of the attendees is expected to leave an average expenditure of 70 dollars a day, so it could represent a significant spill for the municipality.
“The good news that we have for Baja California Sur and Los Cabos is the realization of this important Congress, which will not only benefit this destination but the whole country, because it will put our State and Mexico in the eyes of the world” , Added the director of Fiturca, Luis Esponda.
Finally, during the press conference held in Mexico City, the agreement was signed to certify the DWP in Los Cabos, which will have as its main objective to project the destination internationally, with the necessary infrastructure to carry out social events .
During the signing of the agreement, Baja California Sur’s Secretary of Tourism, Luis Genaro Ruiz Hernández, as well as the Executive Director of CPTM, José Luis Rangel and the directors of QNA, Ackash Jain and Sidh NC were present.
